So, I was going through the $1 DVD display at Wal-Mart to see if there were any titles I hadn't acquired yet (I was at a different Wal-mart from the one I usually shop at). After a few minutes I found yet another anime title, "Solar Advenutre." Wow, I thought, I definitely don't have this one. Found about three other titles including "Diamondbacks" and one disc of "Skysurfer Adventures."
I went to the salesmutant to pay, and she unceremoniously YANKED the Solar Adventure from my grasp! "I can't sell you this one," she growled, "that's on the Do Not Sell List."
"But," I protested, "what's it doing in your store then? There's a whole rack of them."
"Maybe, but I can't sell it to you. Nobody can. I'm gonna have to check on this and remove all those other ones from the display too."
I did not argue any further with her, as she was just a lowly underpaid cashier. But I certainly don't like being told I can't have something, especially when I'm willing to pay for it. Long story short, I took it upon myself to obtain a copy of the disc by...other means.
Does anyone have any insight in particular as to why this DVD was taken off the market? And why this one particular Wal-Mart still had a stack of 20 of them sitting around, if it was "naughty" to sell it? Curiouser and curiouser...
