A few misc. notes:

Picked up Hercules Against the Moon Men at Wal-Mart for a buck.

Picked up wicked weird Russian movie called Jack Frost at Stop & Shop for a buck. Imagine The Neverending Story, but completely incomprehensible.

Saw that Ocean State Job Lot had an East Side Kids double-feature, including Lugosi's Ghosts on the Loose for a buck. BTW, GOTL was directed by William Beaudine, who also directed Bela in my dollar-store fave Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla.

A dollar store in my area called Dollar Dreams has a terrific double-feature DVD of Ed Wood's Glen or Glenda and the odd drag film My Son the Vampire. GOG is a nice print with the extended dream sequence that's often cut. MSTV is a lousy print, but worth it for Lugosi and the robot.

Last year, Dollar Tree offered a bunch of great Christmas DVDs, including Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, the bizarre Mexican film Santa Claus and some nice, old B&W short subject collections. Nothing this year. Oh, well.
